Eyebrow Transplant Cost: FUE Eyebrow Restoration Prices
An FUE eyebrow transplant in London typically costs about £3,000 to £4,500 for both brows, using around 300 to 600 grafts in total; filling small gaps or a scar needs fewer grafts and sits at the lower end, while rebuilding both brows from very sparse sits at the upper end.
| Eyebrow work | Typical grafts | Typical London price |
|---|---|---|
| Filling small gaps or a scar in one brow | 50–150 | from £3,000 |
| Tail or front of both brows | 150–300 | £3,000–£3,500 |
| Thickening both brows | 300–450 | £3,500–£4,000 |
| Rebuilding both brows from very sparse | 450–600 | £4,000–£4,500 |
| Repair of previous eyebrow work | Varies | Priced after assessment |
Eyebrow work is priced as a specialist procedure rather than by large-session graft bands, because each graft is placed individually at a very flat angle. At Hair Transplants London we restore eyebrows as well as scalp and beard hair, and you get a graft estimate and total price in writing.
What is an FUE eyebrow transplant?
An eyebrow transplant moves hair follicles, usually from the back of the scalp, into the eyebrows to fill gaps or create fuller brows. FUE is the most common method: individual grafts are removed with a tiny punch, then placed one by one into tiny incisions in the brow. Single-hair grafts are used almost exclusively, because eyebrow hairs grow singly and very flat to the skin, in a specific direction that changes along the brow.

How much does an eyebrow transplant cost in the UK?
UK eyebrow transplants commonly cost about £2,500 to £5,000, depending on the clinic, the graft count and how much of the work the surgeon performs personally. In London, typical fees are about £3,000 to £4,500 for both brows. Central London and Harley Street clinics tend to be at the upper end. Our hair transplant cost guide explains how scalp procedures are priced for comparison.
Why does an eyebrow transplant cost so much for few grafts?
Most of the cost is skilled time, not graft numbers. Eyebrow work involves:
- Design. Mapping the brow shape to suit your face and existing hairs.
- Selecting single-hair grafts from the donor area, often from the nape where hairs are finer.
- Precise placement. Each graft must lie almost flat and point in the right direction, which changes from the inner to the outer brow.
- Fixed costs. Theatre time, anaesthetic, the surgical team and aftercare are needed even for a small session.
Who is suitable for an eyebrow transplant?
Eyebrow transplants often suit people who have:
- Over-plucked or over-waxed brows that have not grown back.
- Gaps from scars, injury or burns.
- Naturally sparse brows.
- Brow loss after previous cosmetic procedures, such as laser.
They are usually not suitable while hair loss is caused by an active condition, such as alopecia areata, frontal fibrosing alopecia (which can affect the eyebrows), thyroid problems or trichotillomania. These need diagnosis and treatment first. If you have tattooed brows or microblading, a surgeon can usually work around it, but the design needs care.
What is recovery like after an eyebrow transplant?
| Time | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Mild redness and swelling around the brows; tiny crusts |
| Days 4–7 | Crusts start to fall away; most people return to work |
| Weeks 2–8 | Transplanted hairs often shed; follicles remain |
| Months 3–4 | New hairs begin to grow |
| Months 6–12 | Fuller brows; final result around 12 months |
Avoid rubbing the brows, make-up on the treated area and swimming or saunas for the period your clinic advises. The donor area at the back of the scalp heals quickly with FUE. Our recovery timeline covers scalp recovery, and the stages are similar.
Do transplanted eyebrows need trimming?
Usually, yes. Hairs taken from the scalp keep growing like scalp hair, so they grow longer than natural brow hairs and need regular trimming, often every week or two. Some people use a small amount of brow gel to train them to lie flat. Taking finer hairs from the nape can help them blend.
Does an eyebrow transplant look natural?
It can look very natural when single-hair grafts are placed at the correct flat angle and direction and the design suits your face. Poor results usually come from grafts placed too steeply, so hairs stick out, or in the wrong direction, or from a design that looks drawn on. Ask to see the clinic's own eyebrow results at 12 months.

Request a hair assessmentWhat are the risks of an eyebrow transplant?
Risks include swelling, redness, infection, small spots as hairs grow, numbness, hairs growing at the wrong angle, lower than expected growth and small scars. Overly steep placement is hard to correct. We explain all risks before you consent. Our guide to hair transplant risks and side effects covers them in more depth.
How is the eyebrow shape designed?
Design comes first and is agreed with you before any grafts are taken. The surgeon looks at the bone structure of your brow, the position of your eyes and the hairs you already have, then marks the shape on the skin. Natural brows usually start slightly wider at the inner end, with hairs pointing upwards, then flatten and point outwards towards the tail, which tapers. Most people want brows that suit their face rather than a fashion shape, because transplanted brows last long term. If you already fill your brows with make-up, bringing a photo of how you like them helps.
Where do the donor hairs come from?
Most eyebrow grafts come from the back of the scalp, often low down near the nape of the neck, where hairs tend to be finer and closer to eyebrow hair in calibre. Only a small number of grafts is needed, so the donor area heals quickly and is rarely noticeable. Some surgeons use leg or body hair in selected cases, because it grows shorter, but growth from body hair is less predictable.
Can men have eyebrow transplants?
Yes. Men often want to fill gaps from scars, thicken sparse brows or restore the outer third. The design is usually straighter and fuller than for women, and graft counts can be at the upper end of the range.
What are the alternatives?
- Microblading or brow tattooing, which create the look of hairs but fade over time and need top-ups.
- Brow serums, such as those containing minoxidil, which some people try under medical advice.
- Make-up, such as pencils, powders and tinted gels.
A transplant is the option that grows real hair, but it is surgery with a recovery period and a cost.
How can you pay?
Many clinics offer monthly payment plans, including interest-free options, subject to status. For example, a £3,800 eyebrow procedure with a £500 deposit over 12 months at 0% would be £275 a month.
